Kyra Minturn
KyraMinturn Sedgwickwas born on August 19, 1965 is an American actress. Her most prominent part is as the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson, on TNT's crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick received a Golden Globe Award in 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson and also an Emmy Award 2010 for her performance. Following the conclusion of the seventh season the series was cancelled on August 13, 2012. Sedgwick is also famous for her recurring role in Brooklyn Nine-Nine's sitcom Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick was nominated to the Golden Globe for her role in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's other roles include Oliver Stone's Born to the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's solos (1992) as well as Heart and Souls(93), Phenomenon (1996) and What's cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was born in New York City to Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald), who is a speech/family therapist and Henry Dwight Sedgwick, a venture investor. Her mother was Jewish and her father was Episcopalian and of English descent. Sedgwick says she is Jewish and has stated that she is a member of Passover seders.
